Ricky Sapp is a native of Bamberg, South Carolina. He started his football career with Clemson, and eventually went on to be drafted by the NFL.
Since the NFL, Ricky has been very active in the football community and has found passion in giving back to the community in a number of ways.
The Ricky Sapp Foundation is his non-profit where he focuses on encouraging kids to "Dream Big Live Big" while also modeling to adults that they have to step up and play a vital role in these coming generations. The Ricky Sapp Foundation was founded to aid kids in becoming their very best and to educate adults that their actions do matter.
The Foundation has provided hundreds of kids with support such as backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, new shoes and more.
In recent years, Ricky has been given the opportunity to speak to kids at school pep rallies, team sporting events, banquets, pre-games, college classes and more.
His charisma, his passion for the children and his motivational words will touch the soul of every student, parent, teacher and coach that have the opportunity to hear him speak.
He has written two children's books which are also used in workshops for younger kids.

When I step into a school and see these smiling, eager faces, I just cannot WAIT to talk to these kids! I love doing projects and activities connected to the kids' books I have written. I promise you, we have a BLAST as I help young minds learn more about how to face adversity, take on hard challenges make their dreams come true!

I know that I can make a difference whether it's with younger students in elementary school, during the growth years of middle and high school, all the way up to college and beyond. I have something to say to EVERYONE and I can't wait to share it!
I am so proud to have authored two children's books!
Writing these books was a life-long dream for me and seeing the way they bring joy, hope, courage and determination into the lives of the children who read them makes my heart so happy!
I proudly use these books as teaching tools when I come to your school and meet with your students.
